ATLANTA, G.A. – The men's and women's Catawba swim teams traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, to compete at the Emory Invitational. FULL RESULTS
Alejandro Alvarez competed in the Men's 500 freestyle and finished fifth with a time 4:38.15. In the 200 Backstroke he placed third with a time of 1:55.20.
The women's 400 Medley Relay was the only team at the meet to compete in the event. Ash Fortin, Gabi Moll, Jolina Frankie, and Marit Reckmann swam the event for the Catawba Indians. They secured a time of 3:53.45.
Moll took broke the school record for the fourth and fifth time this weekend in the women's 200 breaststroke. Once in the time trail swimming a 2.18.80 and then with a time of 2:18.34 in the finals of the event. This puts her in great contention for qualifying for the NCAA National Championships.
Rechmann would also take the pool for the 100 Freestyle and finish third after finishing with a time of 52.24.
