Salisbury, N.C. — The Catawba men's and women's cross-country teams swept the team titles at the Fleet Feet Invitational. Tanner Smith claimed the individual crown in the men's 8K, and Madison Clay claimed the individual crown in the women's 5K.
Smith, a sophomore from Mooresville, NC, claimed his first-ever collegiate title. He finished the race with a time of 26:28.4.
Clay, the reigning region runner of the year, clinched the women's title with a time of 18:24.8.
The Catawba men claimed the top 10 finishers in the 8K. The women claimed 8 of the top 10 finishing spots.
Oussama Ajala and Anthony Lecorche rounded out the top three behind Smith on the men's side.
