Salisbury, N.C. —- The Catawba College softball team fell late in both ends of a doubleheader against Shippensburg and Lees-McRae on Sunday at Whitley Field in non-conference action.
GAME ONE | Shippensburg 8, Catawba 4 - 8 innings

- Kinsley Caldwell hit a two-run double in her lone at-bat

FIRST HALF
- Hannah Foster hit a leadoff homer for Lees-McRae
SECOND INNING
- Hales doubled to lead off the second and Strider drove her in on an RBI double
THIRD INNING
- Hales knocked a two-out single through the left side to take the 2-1 lead
FIFTH INNING
- LMC tied the game on an RBI single in the fifth; a sac fly took the lead
- Caldwell's two-out double returned the lead to Catawba's favor, 4-3
SIXTH INNING
- The Bobcats scored eight runs in the sixth to take a comfortable 11-4 lead
SEVENTH INNING
- LMC hit a two-run homer in the seventh, leading 13-4
