HOW IT HAPPENED

Esnault endured a difficult start to the front-nine, but he'd find his footing for a birdie and a pair of pars from holes 7-9 for a +4, 38 frame. That form carried over into a strong back-nine effort, as Esnault tallied another birdie and seven pars for an E, 36 stretch to end the day

  • Connor Carter wrapped the third round T-43rd at +21, 231 as he carded a +6, 76 in the final round. Carter's back-nine was his best play of the tournament, with eight pars for a +1, 37

  • Justin Nagy finished alongside Carter at +21, 231 as he shot a +7, 77 in third-round play. Nagy started the front-nine strong, with a birdie and three pars over in the first five holes, but hit a tricky patch to close out the first half of the course for a +5, 39. Nagy was better over the back-nine, adding another birdie and five pars for a +2, 38 closing stretch

  • Ryan Masterton would be the third Catawba player to turn in an overall score of +21, 231, thanks to a +4, 74 outing on Tuesday. Masterton was terrific out of the gates, sinking two birdies and six pars on the front-nine for a -1, 33 in his best play of the tournament. He'd add five more pars over the back-nine, bringing his total on the day to 11
