Atlanta, Ga. —- The Catawba College men's and women's swimming teams sent a select student-athletes to the Emory University Last Chance Invite on Friday night, setting two new school records in the process in Atlanta.
HOW IT HAPPENED
500 Yard Freestyle
- Danielle Meneima set a school record in the 500 Free with a time of 4:55.06
50 Yard Freestyle
- Ryan Case finished first in the 50 freestyle with a mark of 20.58
100 Yard Butterfly Time Trial
- Sydney Peterson participated in a 100 Fly time trial, recording a time of 55.86
200 Yard Freestyle Time Trial
- Ella Gutenwik finished first in the participants in a 200 Free time trial, setting a mark of 1:53.58
- Marleen Plachetka was right behind her with a time of 1:53.60
200 Yard Backstroke Time Trial
- Lucie Cainaud competed in a time trial in the 200 Back, setting a mark of 2:03.54
200 Yard Breaststroke Time Trial
- Rowan Viles broke the school record in the 200 Breast in a time trial, recording a time of 1:58.77
200 Yard Butterfly Time Trial
- Alejandro Alvarez finished the day in the 200 Fly with a mark of 1:50.25
