Sumter, S.C. —- The 12th-ranked Catawba College men's tennis team opened up its postseason run on Wednesday with a 4-0 sweep of 8th-seed Tusculum in the opening round of the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Championships at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

- Agustin Mastri and Luca Bergonzi earned a 6-2 win to open up doubles play in the top-tiered flight
- Thomas Kostka and Marcos Castares helped clinch the match with a 6-2 win in the second-ranked matchup
SINGLES
- Ryosuke Inagawa cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win at #5 singles
- Castares picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory at #6s
- Mateo Berne helped clinch the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the #3 singles position
- Mastri won the opening set of the top-ranked match 6-3 and Kostka took the first frame in the second-ranked singles matchup 6-2
- Luca Accomando rolled to a 6-0 win in the first set of the #4 ranked match
