Salisbury, N.C. — Michael Boyd has joined the Catawba Athletics staff as Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Operations, Catawba College Vice President for Athletics Michelle Caddigan announced Thursday afternoon.

"We are thrilled to welcome Michael Boyd as our new Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities," Caddigan said. "Michael comes to us highly recommended from trusted colleagues and brings a wealth of experience to the role. We are confident that his leadership and expertise will have a positive and lasting impact on our department. Welcome to the Catawba Family, Michael!"

Boyd comes to Catawba from Guilford College, where he served as the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities, Operations and Intramurals. At Guilford, Boyd oversaw the coordination and operation of 20 Division III varsity sports and managed the athletic operations and equipment budget.

During the 2024 fiscal year, Boyd helped generate over $100,000 in facility rentals. Additionally, Boyd coordinated with maintenance, custodial and dining staffs across campus.

A graduate of Slippery Rock University in both undergraduate and graduate programs, Boyd resides in Salisbury.
