St. Petersburg, Fla. —- The Catawba College Beach Volleyball team fell in a pair of matchup against Barry University and Berry College at the Triton Invite on Friday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marcella Hermont and Sidney Kettelkamp earned a tight 21-19, 21-18 win over the Buccaneers top-ranked pair
- Emma Christensen and Emily Dudley followed suit with a 22-24, 21-16, 15-9 comeback win at #2s
- The final three pairs fell in tightly contested matches as Barry took the day's opening match

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alleigh Johnson and Taylor Vecchione took the second set of their 5th-ranked pairs match to force a decisive third game, but ultimately fell 15-12 in that final set

- Catawba turns around for two more matchups at the Triton Invite, taking on Florida Southern and host Eckerd on Saturday
