Salisbury, N.C. —- The Catawba College softball team allowed just one run across 14 innings of play in its South Atlantic Conference doubleheader sweep of Emory & Henry on Saturday at Whitley Field, pushing its win streak to eight games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIFTH INNING
- Flynn singled up the middle with one out in the fifth
- A hit-and-run moved the shortstop out of position, allowing Ruscoe's base hit to move Flynn up to third with still one out
- Gallagher came through with an RBI base hit to the right side for the first run of the game
- Altiers' opposite-field double scored another as Catawba took a 2-0 lead
SIXTH INNING
- E&H's Hannah Booth scored the Wasps' first run of the afternoon on a leadoff homer to left field
SEVENTH INNING
- Two singles put the tying run in scoring position and the go-ahead on base for Emory & Henry in the seventh
- Holland forced a flyout to center field for the first out of the inning
- On a ground ball hit to the left side, Jordan McCorkle made a diving stop, touched third base and fired a strike to first for the game-ending double play
