Jake McBride is in his first season as Assistant Golf Coach at Catawba College in 2025-26.
McBride has served as an instructor in the Charlotte Metro area for the past few years while continuing his own professional golf career. He qualified for the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023, won the 2021 Ohio Open Championship, and spent two years on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica.
The Hartville, Ohio, native was a standout golfer at NC State, totaling 11 top-10 finishes with four runner-up performances as his 72.86 stroke average notched the seventh-lowest in Wolfpack history. McBride placed second at the ACC Championship as a junior in 2016 and was selected to the PING All-Region Team during his senior campaign in 2017.
McBride earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from NC State in 2017.
