Catawba College

Alleigh Johnson joined the Catawba Women's Volleyball staff ahead of the 2026 season after building a strong foundation as both a student-athlete and club coach.

During the 2025-26 athletic year, Johnson wrapped up her career as a student-athlete with the Catawba beach volleyball team. She was a mainstay in the Catawba Indians' lineup and played a key role in the team's Copper Bracket title at the AVCA Small College Beach Volleyball Championships.

Before coming to Salisbury, Johnson was a member of the Queens University of Charlotte volleyball program during the Royals' transition from Division II to Division I. She was named to the South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman Team and went on to have one of the best careers in program history, totaling 978 kills, 73 service aces, 735 digs and 107 blocks.

During her collegiate career, Johnson began coaching with Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club where she served as a regional team coach and assisted with private lessons and clinics alongside Greyhounds Volleyball Club. Coaching athletes across a variety of ages and skill levels helped shape a philosophy centered on technical skill development, competitive growth and creating a positive learning environment.

Johnson developed a passion for mentoring younger athletes both on and off the court during her playing career that she continues to build on the sideline. Her experience as both a college student-athlete and coach allows her to connect with players in meaningful ways while helping them develop the confidence, discipline and skills needed to reach their potential. 

Johnson continues to pursue her Master of Business Administration degree from Catawba College. A native of Greenville, N.C., she graduated from South Central High School and earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Queens in 2025.
