Rebekah Houseman joined the Catawba College Athletic Staff in March of 2022. She comes to Catawba after serving as a Graduate Intern in the Athletic Performance department at Lindenwood University since 2020.
While at Lindenwood, Houseman designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs for the Field Hockey and Women’s Wrestling teams. She also assisted with the training for the Football, Baseball, Softball, and Men’s Volleyball teams.
During her time at Lindenwood, the Women’s Wrestling team had 7 athletes qualify for the NCWWC Championships in their first full season in NCAA status. Both the Football and Baseball teams also won the GLVC conference championship.
Houseman has also completed internships at all levels of the NCAA. At Saint Louis University in the Summer of 2021, she worked with the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, as well as the Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Soccer teams. While at Elon in the Spring of 2020, she worked mainly with the Football team, and also assisted with the Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Lacrosse, Baseball, and Track & Field Teams. She also completed an internship at Springfield College in the Spring of 2019, working with Football, Baseball, Women’s Tennis, and Track and Field.
Houseman earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield College in 2020. In 2021 she earned a Master of Science in Health Science with a concentration in Sport Science and Performance from Lindenwood University.
