SALISBURY, N.C. -- Mount Olive rallied from two-set down to post a win over host Catawba in volleyball action on Wednesday night at Goodman Gym. The Trojans improve to 3-1 with a 22-25, 18-25, 25-16, 25-22 and 15-10 victory. The Catawba Indians go to 2-3.

Kylie Morgan led Catawba, posting 14 kills and hitting at a 35.7% clip. She also led the way with 13 digs. Arianna Colon added 11 kills and 10 digs. Setter Dara Kane served seven aces, while handing out 43 assists.

Catawba surged early in the first set, reeling off eight straight points on the serve off Allison Bryant to lead 15-6. It was 19-10 before the Trojans rallied late and got within 22-20. Bryant's two kills and another by Morgan allowed Catawba to hold on. Kane had a pair of late aces in set two as Catawba moved out from a 20-16 edge for the set win.

Mount Olive rallied back in the third. An 8-3 run pushed the margin to 21-13. The Trojans led 14-8 in set four before Catawba came back. An ace by Kane capped an 8-2 run that tied the set. Mount Olive never gave up the lead, scoring two straight and pulling ahead 23-20. A kill from Amara Eziakonwa and a Catawba hitting error ended the set.

The fifth set was tied 2-2 when Mount Olive raced away. Behind Starr Sergent's serve, the Trojans scored eight straight, two on her aces. Catawba got as close as 14-10 before Eziakonwa killed off the final point.

Eziakonwa had 16 kills and five blocks for Mount Olive. Ashlyn Stone added 11 kills, while Morgan Prots collected 25 digs. Sergent finished with four aces.

Catawba heads to Tennessee for a pair of matches this weekend. First up is Carson-Newman on Friday night at 6 p.m.
