Jefferson City, Tenn. —- The 2nd-ranked Catawba College women's soccer team improved to 12-0 on the year on Saturday night, defeating South Atlantic Conference foe Carson-Newman on the road, 4-1 behind a brace from redshirt junior forward Helen Summerell.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
- Selina Jud struck first for C-N as the Eagles took a 1-0 lead in just the fourth minute
- Summerell answered with a 13th-minute score off a Jimmo assist
- After Summerell's second try for a goal hit the post, Jimmo recorded her second game-winner of the week in the 20th minute
- Ehmer added to Catawba's first-half scoring tally with a goal in the 37th minute
- Delair's shot on goal in the closing seconds of the half was saved by the C-N keeper
SECOND HALF
- Hammond's try for goal was saved by the Eagles in the 49th minute
- Summerell's shot was saved, but she followed up on the rebound for her second goal of the night in the 72nd minute
- Hughes made saves on both C-N shots on goal the rest of the way
