SALISBURY, N.C. – The Catawba College women's volleyball team's next battle is a Tuesday night clash against Tusculum at Goodman Arena.
Coming Off Two
- Catawba faced Mars Hill twice in a home-and-home series created by an earlier postponement as the blue and white fell 3-1 on the road and 3-0 in Salisbury
- Haley Moffett combined for 61 assists and 24 digs for two double-doubles while adding three kills at the setter spot
- Lauren Bodell logged a team-high 20 kills, mashing a career-best 16 on Friday, followed by Kelcie Love with 18
- Sofia Beard had a big Saturday as the sophomore outside hitter set career highs of nine kills and three blocks, featuring two solos
Beard & Bodell Breakouts
- Beard, a sophomore outside hitter, killed nine rallies and made three stops (two solo) to log career-high marks in Catawba's Saturday loss to Mars Hill
- The Charlottesville, Va. product has 40 kills and four blocks on the year, meaning Beard accounted for nearly a quarter of her total attacking output and quadrupled her season blocking value in one match
- Junior outside Bodell also shined last weekend with a 16-kill outing on Friday, smashing her previous career high by five
- Bodell has averaged 1.21 kills and 0.35 blocks per set, the team's fourth-best tally, in her 43 sets of action
Love for 100
- Notching 12 kills for Catawba on Saturday, Love continued her streak of breaking the century mark each year
- As a freshman, the Mount Ulla native landed 147 kills before her 168-dart sophomore campaign
- 17 matches into her freshman season, Love leads the team at 108 kills with a .135 hitting percentage

- The series sits at 28-27 favoring Tusculum
- The Pioneers have won eight straight matchups, sweeping six times
