Mount Olive, N.C. —- The Catawba College baseball team fell behind 11-0 after four innings at #18 Mount Olive before clawing back within three runs, but ultimately fell in midweek NCAA Division II baseball action.

FIRST INNING
- Two Mount Olive homers gave the Trojans a 4-0 lead after the first frame
SECOND INNING
- A two-out RBI single and hit-by-pitch added two more runs for UMO
THIRD INNING
- Mount Olive added three more runs in the third to take a 9-0 lead
FOURTH INNING
- Two more Trojan runs made it 11-0 after four frames
FIFTH INNING
- Catawba loaded the bases with one out in the fifth
- Perrell put the Catawba Indians on the board with a two-RBI single
- Hunter scored another on a single through the right side
- Bo Rusher deposited an RBI single to center to cap the four-run inning
- UMO added two more runs on a single in the bottom half, leading 13-4
SIXTH INNING
- Rogers launched his team-leading seventh homer of the year on a two-run blast
EIGHTH INNING
- Dylan Driver drove in a run on a groundout to start the scoring in the eighth
- Hales' two-out double cleared the bases, as Catawba pulled within 13-10
- Mount Olive added two insurance runs in the bottom half
NINTH INNING
- Two errors and a walk loaded the bases for the Catawba Indians with two outs
- Hubbard scored on a wild pitch to get back within four runs with the tying run on deck
- Mount Olive stranded two on a strikeout to end the high-scoring affair
