PREVIEW: Women's Volleyball back in action at Carson-Newman

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Catawba College women's volleyball team is back in action at Carson-Newman for a South Atlantic Conference match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Schedule Changes

- Due to the effects of Hurricane Helene, the Catawba Indians' last scheduled match at home against Mars Hill was postponed. A potential make-up date is being considered as MHU returns to normal operations and regional infrastructure is restored

- The Emory & Henry-Newberry and Lincoln Memorial-Limestone conference contests slated for last Friday were also affected by the storm

- Catawba's non-conference match at Augusta on Saturday, Oct. 5 has been canceled due to power as the Jaguars' campus will not reopen until Oct. 7

Last Tuesday at Newberry

- Catawba came close to winning two sets but could not prevail in a 3-0 loss to the Newberry Wolves last week

- Hitting errors doomed the Catawba Indians who hit .117 in the match while posting just one fewer kill than the Wolves

- Jordan Danielson led the offensive attack with eight kills, followed by Katrina Misra and Sofia Beard with seven and six, respectively

- Katie Clark and Natalie Rehm contributed one solo block apiece

- Beard, Kary Hales, and Riley Hill each chipped in a service ace
