PREVIEW: Women’s Volleyball visits Emory & Henry, welcomes Lincoln Memorial

EMORY, Va. — The Catawba College women's volleyball team is set for a pair of South Atlantic Conference matchups this weekend, traveling to Emory & Henry on Friday and returning back to Goodman Arena to face Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.

Tuesday in Hartsville
- The Catawba Indians went up 2-0 at Coker on Tuesday, but the Cobras rallied back to win the following three sets and take the match on home court
- Sofia Beard registered a double-double with 19 kills and a career-high 20 digs
- Ali Rose recorded the best performance of her rookie campaign, delivering two service aces and 19 digs
- With a 25-23 triumph in the first set, Catawba improved to 6-3 in opening frames which includes a 3-1 record in conference play

Let's Go Boudot
- Tamie Boudot has set a new career high in assists in each of the last two matches, tallying 45 against the Cavaliers and 48 against the Cobras
- The freshman from Nospelt, Luxembourg, also inflicted her first two career kills in the barnburner at Coker
- By logging nearly triple-figure digs in the previous two contests, Boudot took over the team lead in total assists at 192
- Paired with Haley Moffett, the Catawba Indians have two players in the SAC's top-10 list for assists per set

10 Sets in Two Matches
- Catawba has gone to five sets in consecutive matches, dropping a home match to UVA Wise last week before the reverse-sweep heartbreaker at Coker on Tuesday
- The previous two matches followed the five-set season opener in which Catawba clipped Lees-McRae in the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational
- Thus far, only two of the squad's nine matches – losses to Florida Tech and Lenoir-Rhyne – have resulted in sweeps
- Friday presents a strong chance of a third straight five-setter as Catawba and Emory & Henry went the distance in 2024

Tight Turnaround
- This weekend is Catawba's first against SAC foes on back-to-back days
- Similar to last year, Catawba will face both Emory & Henry and Lincoln Memorial just once in the regular season as part of a two-match weekend
- In 2024, the Catawba Indians went 1-1 in the weekends including E&H and LMU; they suffered a 3-1 defeat to LMU on Oct. 11 before upsetting eventual NCAA Tournament squad Charleston the next day, then beat E&H on Nov. 8 and fell to Lenoir-Rhyne less than 24 hours later
