Salisbury, N.C. —- The Catawba College women's soccer team saw its season come to a close in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, as fifth-seed Lander scored the deciding goal in the 90th minute.

- Bree Ehmer scored the Catawba goal

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
- Lander got the first shot on goal of the contest in the 18th minute
- Rayburn drew a foul in the 39th minute just outside of the box and Ehmer netted the goal on a deflected left-footed free kick
SECOND HALF
- Morgan Delair was able to get a shot on target in the 57th minute, but Lander stepped up to make the save
- A shot by Ali Skinner in the 60th was swiped away by the Bearcat keeper as Catawba attempted to push the lead to two
- A Lander free kick just outside of the box turned into a converted header for the equalizer in the 82nd minute
- The Bearcats' Maddie Leber sent a 35-yard shot to the top corner for the winner with 30 seconds remaining
GAME NOTES
- Catawba's seventh consecutive full season with double digit wins; fourth season in the last five seasons with 16 or more wins
- Ehmer netted 20 goals on the season, the second most by a Catawba Indian in program history
- The Catawba Indians have won an NCAA Tournament game in four straight seasons, the longest active streak in the region
