Salisbury, N.C. —- The fourth-ranked and top-seeded Catawba College baseball team fell in a decisive game three in the Southeast Super Regional on Saturday night at Newman Park to 16th-ranked and third-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne, 6-1.

- Lenoir-Rhyne out-hit Catawba 10-4
- The Bears recorded three of five extra-base hits and both homers
- The Catawba Indians left seven runners on base; LR stranded nine
- Lenoir-Rhyne's pitchers allowed a run on four hits and three walks, striking out seven; Catawba's staff allowed six runs on 10 hits and six walks, striking out five

- Hayden Simmerson came in for relief and ate up 4.2 innings

- Nathan Keeter's two-run homer but LR on the board in the third
FIFTH INNING
- A two-out single and a walk allowed Cole Stanford to drive in a run on an RBI single
- A wild pitch on strike three scored a second run for the Bears, leading 4-0
SIXTH INNING
- Hales' RBI double to right center scored Dunlap to get Catawba on the board
SEVENTH INNING
- Sal Carricato sent a two-run homer over the left field wall to cap the scoring
