Greensboro, N.C. —- The Catawba College baseball team earned Academic Excellence Award honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association, the organization announced Wednesday.

The South Atlantic Conference champions boasted a team-wide GPA of 3.25 to be named one of less than 100 Division II programs across the country to earn the recognition.

The award, presented by Sports Attack, recognizes ABCA member teams from all levels of high school and collegiate baseball that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2024-25 academic year.

Matching their excellence in the classroom in 2025, Catawba swept the SAC championships and earned the top seed and hosting duties in the NCAA Southeast Regional for the second consecutive season.
