Wingate, N.C. —- The 28th-ranked Catawba College women's cross country team earned the team title at Wingate's Bulldog Stampede, which will host the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional later this season.
Madi Clay earned the individual crown with a time of 21:24.76, nearly 20 seconds ahead of the next closest runner. Natalie Almond placed third with another sub-22 minute run.
The Catawba Indians placed four in the top ten, helping earn the team title over 5th-ranked Wingate. Anderson, Lincoln Memorial and Flagler rounded out the top five.
