Salisbury, N.C. — The Catawba College cross country teams open up their 2025 campaigns at the Fleet Feet Invite on Saturday, hosting the annual season-opening meet at the Salisbury Community Park.

HIGH EXPECTATIONS
- Catawba's women enter the 2025 season with high expectations, receiving a #19 national national ranking in the preseason USTFCCCA coaches poll
- The Catawba Indians were picked to finish second in the SAC preseason poll, a position they have finished in both of the last two seasons
- Catawba returns all six of its top finishers at last year's SAC Championships in Madi Clay, Natalie Almond, Hannah Caudill, Eden Barnwell, Joanna Owczarz and Emer Mcglynn
NEW FACES
- On the men's side, the Catawba Indians receive much more turnover with 10 of its 16 student-athletes comprised of incoming freshman
- Will Lyons and Seth Caudill return as top-20 finishers from last year's SAC Championships, in which Catawba finished third and just missed out on a berth to the National Championships
- Catawba was picked to finish third once again in the 2025 preseason SAC coaches poll
CATAWBA DOMINANCE
- Catawba has historically dominated the Fleet Feet Invite with the men earning team victories in three of the last four years while the women have swept the team titles in each of the last three seasons
- Last season, Catawba's women earned each of the top six spots and eight of the top nine finishes
- Hannah Caudill earned her first collegiate win at this event in 2024
