ROCK HILL, S.C. — Cadence Setzer contributed on all three goals in the Catawba Indians' regular season finale en route to being named South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, per Monday release.
The sophomore's one-goal, two-assist outburst was key in taking down Coker in a 3-2 shootout at Frock Field last Wednesday. Setzer propelled into the top position in SAC assist rankings, racking up eight helpers against in-league competition. With 13 points in conference matches, she finished alongside two teammates in a Catawba sweep of the first three places.
Setzer has won SAC Offensive POTW twice this season, following her Oct. 12 selection, which gives Catawba five total honors across the 10 weekly releases.
The Catawba Indians are off to the semifinal round of the SAC Championship, returning to action on Friday, Nov. 6, against No. 4 seed Wingate at 5 p.m. in Matthews, N.C.
