Lebanon, Ind. — The 9th-ranked Catawba College women's tennis team suffered a loss in the opening round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Women's Indoor Nationals at the hands of second-ranked Nova Southeastern.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Sofia Antolini and Rin Igarashi picked up a 6-3 win in #2 doubles to tie the doubles portion of the match at one apiece
- Lili Drukerova and Ami Miya earned a tiebreak win at the top-ranked position 7-6 (10-8) to clinch the doubles point and give Catawba the early lead
SINGLES
- Hanna Bougouffa picked up a 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (7-5) win at #2 singles to pull the Catawba Indians to 3-2 in the overall match
