MONROE, N.C. — The ninth-ranked Catawba College men's golf team broke the program's 54-hole tournament record with a 12-under-par performance at the Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate hosted at Rolling Hills Country Club, good for third place in the 17-team field.
Catawba recorded two of the best against-par rounds in program history, going three-under and 11-under on Tuesday en route to the Catawba Indians' best-ever score vs. par. The overall score of 852 stacks up third all-time, one spot ahead of the season-opening 856 in a winning effort at the Griffin Invitational. Breaking out the record book, all five of Catawba's golfers in attendance notched top-34 scores against par (one-over or better).
Despite the blue and white logging the field's lowest third round score, host Wingate had already run away with the team crown using a 26-under 838 final tally. The South Atlantic Conference rivals were joined on the podium by Emmanuel whose 16-under 848 beat the Catawba Indians by four strokes. Emmanuel's Gabriel Hull claimed individual medalist honors by a three-shot margin at 205 (-11).

- Kapur joined Bonnet in the 18th position and also shot a 71, doing so in the second round split between Monday and Tuesday, bookended by 73s in a solid outing at Rolling Hills
