LENOIR CITY, Tenn. — Through Monday's 36 holes of the Tennessee River Rumble, the ninth-ranked Catawba College men's golf team is slotted third of 18 teams in the tournament hosted by Lincoln Memorial at WindRiver Golf Club.
The field is packed in tightly with four shots separating sixth place and 30th, as demonstrated by Catawba's five-man stable that is uniformly distributed across that range. The Catawba Indians carded 284-292 for an even-par 576 on Monday featuring 32 birdies and an eagle.
Fifth-ranked Wingate leads the team standings at 571 (-5), one shot ahead of second-place Lincoln Memorial and five ahead of Catawba. LMU's Harry Dickins and Wingate's Lewis Beeden are tied for the individual lead at eight-under-par; Beeden broke the Bulldogs' program record with a blistering first-round 63.
