Salisbury, N.C. —- The 9th-ranked Catawba College men's tennis team earned at least a share of the South Atlantic Conference regular season title on Friday with a Senior Day win over Anderson in their final regular season action at the Johnson Tennis Center on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Luca Bergonzi and Agustin Mastri earned a 6-3 doubles win at the top-ranked position
- Senior Alessandro Valletta and Mateo Berne won in a tiebreak, 7-6, at #3s to clinch the doubles point
SINGLES
- Ryosuke Inagawa rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #5 singles
- Mateo Berne earned a hardfought 6-4, 6-4 win at #3 singles
- Luca Bergonzi clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-4 win at #4s
- Agustin Mastri and Santiago Passoni were up a set at the clinch point at #1s and #2s, respectively

- Catawba will go for the outright SAC title with a win in its regular season finale at Tusculum on Saturday at 1 p.m.
