Greeneville, Tenn. —- The 6th-ranked Catawba College women's tennis team earned its second straight outright South Atlantic Conference regular season title on Saturday with a 4-2 win over Tusculum in the regular season finale.
HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
- Sofia Antolini and Rin Igarashi earned a quick 6-1 win at #2 doubles
- Tina Gomes and Agata Budnik helped clinch the doubles point with a 6-1 win at #3s
SINGLES
- Igarashi made it a 2-0 day with a 6-0, 6-1 win at #5 singles
- Katya Kldiashvili won 6-2, 6-1 at #4 singles
- Antolini bounced back from a 6-1 loss in the opening set to win and clinch the point with 6-4 and 6-1 wins in the next two sets
- Miya led 3-6, 6-3, 4-2 at #2 singles when the clinch point was reached
