Salisbury, N.C. —- The 7th-ranked and top-seeded Catawba College Men's Tennis team defeated 18th-ranked and fifth-seeded Wingate 4-2 at the Johnson Tennis Center on Tuesday, advancing to the Division II National Championship site for the first time in program history.

Mateo Berne won the third-ranked doubles match, 6-3

Agustin Mastri and
Luca Bergonzi clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win at the top-ranked doubles match
SINGLES
- Berne made quick work in his 3rd-ranked singles match win, defeating his opponent 6-3, 6-1
- Bergonzi followed with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at #4 singles
- After Wingate took a pair of singles matches, Valletta clinched the match with a 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at 6th-ranked singles to send Catawba to nationals
