ORLANDO, Fla. — Senior forward Bree Ehmer has been named the D2CIDA National Player of the Week on Tuesday after netting nine points for the Catawba College women's soccer team last week.

National Players of the Week are selected by a volunteer committee of Division II Conference Information Directors from a pool of nominations submitted by conference offices.

The Melbourne, Fla., native stacked three goals and three assists in a 2-0 slate for the Catawba Indians, earning the helper on both goals of the 2-1 win at regionally ranked Francis Marion before posting three scores and an assist at home against Mars Hill. Her hat trick last Saturday was the first by a South Atlantic Conference player this season and currently stands as one of 24 three-goal performances in all of Division II.

Through three weeks of the D2CIDA releasing weekly awards, Ehmer is the first SAC representative regardless of gender.

The latest National Player of the Week and eighth-ranked Catawba face off against national No. 1 Florida Tech on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at noon in the Sunshine State.
