Adam Gajo begins his second season as wide receivers coach in fall 2026.
Gajo joined Haines’ staff after serving four seasons as the wide receivers coach & passing game coordinator at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
“We are excited to have Adam and his family join us here at Catawba!”, Haines said. “Coach Gajo will do an excellent job recruiting, developing and leading the wide receivers of our program!”
Under Gajo's leadership, Drake ranked as a top-25 passing offense in FCS this past season, as the Bulldogs threw for over 240 yards per game. Drake’s top receiving trio of Taj Hughes, Trey Radocha and Mitchell January each totaled over 500 receiving yards on the season.
Gajos assisted the Bulldogs to their second straight Pioneer Football League title this past season with a 7-1 record in league play, punching their ticket to the FCS Playoffs for the second year in a row.

Prior to Drake, Gajos served as an assistant coach across multiple high school programs in the state of California, most recently as the running backs coach at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego.
