Hana Vander Galien

Catawba College Sports Medicine announced the addition of Hana Vander Galien to its athletic training staff in August 2024. Vander Galien oversees the athletic training coverage for the Catawba men's volleyball program.

"I'm excited to have Hana join the Catawba Sports Medicine Team," Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine Brandon Auton said. "Her wide variety of clinical experience will make her an asset to our department. Her strong work ethic will mesh well with our men's volleyball program as well as all the student-athletes with whom she will work."

Vander Galien came to Catawba after a year serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at High Point University, working directly with the HPU women's volleyball team that won the 2023 Big South Tournament title and competed in the NCAA DI Women's Volleyball Tournament.

"I am so grateful for the opportunity to join the Sports Medicine staff here at Catawba," Vander Galien said. "The culture is what drew me here the most, and I am just so excited to be a part of it all! I cannot thank Brandon enough for giving me this opportunity, and I am looking forward to taking part in our first Men's Volleyball season. Looking ahead, I am thrilled to bring what I can to Catawba Culture and provide great heath care and support to Catawba's student athletes!"
