Sara McIntosh enters her first season as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach in the 2024-25 season.

McIntosh moves to the sideline on the heels of a standout five-year playing career with the Catawba women's basketball team, helping the program reach new heights with the team's first-ever Southeast Regional title and trip to the NCAA Division II national semifinals in her senior season in 2023. McIntosh was a two-time All-SAC performer as a senior and graduate student, becoming the 20th player in the history of Catawba women's basketball to eclipse 1,000 career points. She finished her career ranking 14th in program history with 1,321 career points.

As a senior during the 2022-23 season, McIntosh averaged 11.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, helping lead the Catawba Indians to the SAC Piedmont Division title. The team earned the first number one seed in the NCAA Regional in program history and swept their way to the regional title, aided by McIntosh's 20-point showing in the regional semis vs. Clayton State, helping her earn a spot on the All-Regional team. McIntosh followed up with another year averaging 11.4 points per game as a grad student, helping Catawba earn another SAC regular season title and hosting duties for the NCAA Tournament.
