SALISBURY, N.C. -- Catawba swept to a win over visiting Limestone in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action on Saturday night at Goodman Gym. The Catawba Indians win their second straight match to up their record to 4-4 overall and 2-1 in the SAC, winning 25-19, 25-23 and 25-18. The Saints fall to 4-3 and 1-1.

Allison Bryant led Catawba with 15 kills and 16 digs. She added two blocks and an ace. Kylie Morgan followed with eight kills and 10 digs, joining Bryant with two blocks and an ace. Setter Dara Kane served two aces and handed out 16 assists.

After controlling the first set, Catawba battled back to win the key second set. The Lady Indians were down 23-20, but Bryant came out of timeout to produce a kill and the lead was cut to 23-22 following a Limestone hitting error. Raytchelle Miranda tied the set on a kill then Morgan Childress served an ace to give Catawba its first lead of the set. The rally was complete after a Limestone hitting error.

The third set was tied 13-13 midway through the final set. Catawba scored two straight points and led the rest of the way, finally pulling away late. Back-to-back kills from Ashley Johnson pushed the lead to 19-16 and a kill from Bryant extended the margin to 22-18. The Lady Indians claimed the final three points and the match.

Limestone hit just 8% in the loss and were led by Vanessa Bias' eight kills. Leilani Wilcox Nanai added seven kills.

Catawba is at home again on Wednesday, hosting future SAC member Emory & Henry at 7 p.m.
