AIKEN, S.C. -- Simone Trentin scored with just under three minutes left in overtime to left visiting to Catawba to a 1-0 victory over USC Aiken in men's soccer action on Wednesday night at Pacer Pit. The win improves the Catawba Indians to 3-0, while the Pacers fall to 1-1.

Trentin's goal, which was assisted by Tom Savigar, snapped the scoreless match that was fairly even. Catawba held an 18-15 edge in shots and took 11 corners to eight for USC Aiken.

Gianluca Tomassi notched his second straight clean sheet, recording five saves. Joey Valenti made six saves for the Pacers.

Catawba is 3-0 for the first time since 2002 and is at home on Saturday, hosting Belmont Abbey at 2 p.m.
