Salisbury, N.C. —- The third-ranked Catawba College women's soccer team rolled to its fourth win by five or more goals this season in a shutout win over Newberry in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday evening.

- The Catawba Indians won the advantage in shots on goal 15-2
- Catawba held a 17-1 edge on corner kicks
- Each team received a yellow card
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
- Sydney Jimmo added to her nation-leading goal total with two more scores and an assist
- Helen Summerell scored the game-winner and added an assist
- Bree Ehmer netted a goal and dished out an assist
- Lillie Rusher also scored a goal
- Hannah Dunn added to her team-leading assist total with a pair
- McKenzee Johnson and Maria Rayburn recorded assists as well
- Ashley Hughes and Gabby Cossette each made a save in the combined shutout
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
- Alexah Fite fired a shot that hit the crossbar before Jimmo had a shot on goal in the fifth minute
- Ehmer found Summerell to break through for the score in the 12th minute
- Catawba had two shots on goal in the 33rd minute but Tusculum made two saves
- Morgan Delair and Ayden Vaughan forced the TU keeper to make two more saves in the next five minutes
- Hughes made her save in the 38th minute
- Ehmer scored in the final 90 seconds of the half to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break
SECOND HALF
- Jimmo netted her first goal of the evening just over three minutes into the second half
- Rusher made it 4-0 in the 54th minute
- Jimmo scored her 11th goal of the season in the 62 minute
- The team brought on reserves the rest of the way, cruising to their third conference win in as many games
