Greeneville, Tenn. —- The 19th-ranked Catawba College women's soccer team picked up its fifth straight win in South Atlantic Conference play, earning three points on the road at Tusculum with a 1-0 win on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
- Tusculum threatened first, with their lone corner kick of the game coming in the sixth minute
- Lauren Darbo was the first to test the TU keeper in the 12th minute
- Catawba out-shot the Pioneers 8-0 in the first half, but Darbo's was the only to go on target
SECOND HALF
- Alexah Fite and Ehmer forced Tusculum saves early in the second half, including Ehmer's header that was booted out by a TU defender
- Rusher broke the scoreless tie in the 51st minute, curling in the score directly off a corner kick
- Morgan Delair and Kylie Morin looked to double the lead before the 60th minute, but the Pioneers made the save
- The Pioneers' lone look for an equalizer on the afternoon came in the 68th minute, but sailed wide
- Additional shots on target by Ehmer and Hammond were saved, but the Catawba Indians dominated possession and held the Pioneers from getting a clean look for the equalizer for the final 20-plus minutes

- Catawba improves to 19-9-4 all-time in the series; seventh straight win in the series for Catawba
- The Catawba Indians stand in a tie for second in the SAC standings, two points behind conference leader Wingate who has played an extra league game to this point
