HEAR FROM COACH FERGUSON
On the team's third straight sweep…
"It just felt a little different out there tonight. They felt in control, we were just going at a nice clip … the players did a really good job of processing the scouting plan and executing it, and then taking care of the junk and the scramble plays."

On the third set…
"I think we got a little sloppy at key moments. We weren't as clean on serve receive in that set. We were trying to make some mid-match adjustments that took us a point or two to make, so then we were getting (away from) some of the other things we needed to take care of."

HEAR FROM SYDNEY WATTLES
On what contributed to her strong performance…
"I would say just always looking forward to the next play, and honestly we had some really great sets. Haley (Moffett) was killing it, Riley (Hill) was killing it, the defense was really good. A lot of pushing it toward whichever angles the (Newberry) middle wasn't going toward. In general, it was just a full-team effort."

On what she likes most about the team…
"(In) this group, everyone pushes everyone. Brenn even gets on us for the fake compliments like the 'oh, good job' if it's not earned. So every compliment is earned and every mistake is out in the open; everyone is trying to help each other get better every step of the way."

UP NEXT
The Catawba Indians head to Mossy Creek on Friday, Oct. 24, for a date with Carson-Newman. First serve against the Eagles is scheduled for 7 p.m.
