#4 Women’s Soccer rolls to sixth straight win behind Ehmer’s first career hat trick

Salisbury, N.C. — The 4th-ranked Catawba College women's soccer team rolled to its sixth straight win in a 5-0 result over North Greenville in non-conference play behind Bree Ehmer's first career hat trick and a seven-point effort in total.

TEAM STATISTICS

- Catawba out-shot North Greenville 31-4

- The Catawba Indians out-shot the Trailblazers 12-2

- Catawba had 15 of 16 corner kicks in the match

- Both teams committed three fouls in the contest

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS

- Ehmer poured in three goals with an assist

- Ella Matthews added a goal and an assist

- Ali Skinner also found the back of the net

- Kylie Morin dished out a pair of assists

- Morgan Delair and Molly Shields also assisted on the night 

HOW IT HAPPENED

FIRST HALF

- Ehmer struck early with a score in just the fourth minute

- The Catawba Indians tallied six corner kicks in as many minutes, eventually leading to another Ehmer score off feeds from Matthews and Delair in the 21st minute

- Less than two minutes later, the Catawba Indians added to their lead with a header goal from Skinner directly off of Morin's corner kick feed

SECOND HALF

- Ehmer struck for the hat trick and the goals lead in the SAC from a deep shot near the top of the box off of passes from Morin and Shields

- Catawba capped the scoring in the 68th minute on a strike from Matthews off of a feed from Ehmer

UP NEXT

- Catawba looks to make it seven wins in a row on Saturday when it travels to Mars Hill to continue South Atlantic Conference action at 7 p.m.
