SALISBURY, N.C. — The Catawba College women's volleyball team appeared far from jet-lagged against Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, chalking up a 3-0 rout to record its second sweep in less than 24 hours across two different states.
TEAM STATS
- Catawba (5-6, 2-4 SAC) excelled on offense, hitting .260 – the second-best mark this season – against the .091 clip by Lincoln Memorial (7-9, 3-4 SAC)
- The blue and white stomped LMU in service, out-acing the Railsplitters 8-2 with just two errors compared to the guests' three
- Catawba's seven total blocks make a 2.33 per-set average, the team's highest tally in 2025; the Splitters were held to four
- The Catawba Indians' .347 set percentage, .918 serve percentage and .958 reception percentage values were all better than LMU's
INDIVIDUAL STATS
- Lillie Kate Rogers generated a team-high 13 kills on a .273 performance with two aces, six digs and two blocks
- Sofia Beard had seven kills on 15 swings while supplying a trio of digs
- Tamie Boudot and Haley Moffett registered 16 and 15 assists, respectively, with one service ace apiece
- Ali Rose served a couple of aces and racked up double-figure digs for the second time in her career with 10
- Chloe Ratliff led the way in blocking with four, followed by Martina Foster and Annica Kagle with three each
NOTES
- Hill recorded her 1,000th career dig in the contest; her mark of 1,008 digs is seventh in rally-era standings
- The last time Catawba posted consecutive sweeps was 2021 when the blue and white blanked four opponents in a row from Sept. 11-24. LMU and Emory & Henry, victims of Catawba sweeps in 2025, were included in the streak
- With their fifth triumph, the Catawba Indians have already topped their win total from 2024
