Greenwood, Ind. —- The Catawba College baseball team had five student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced Wednesday morning.

Graduate students Austin Fine and Cole Hales, juniors Nathan Chrismon and Casey Gouge and redshirt freshman Hunter Atkins earned the honors, awarded to student-athletes who meet both cumulative GPA and athletic participation minimums set by CSC.

In addition to their sustained excellence in the classroom, four of the student-athletes were named to the All-South Atlantic Conference teams, two earned All-Region recognition and Hales was named an ABCA Third Team All-American.

Hales will be considered for Academic All-America, with the teams announced later in the summer.
