Boyds, Md. — The 23rd-ranked Catawba College women's soccer team earned a decisive win in the 2025 season opener at the Maryland SoccerPlex on Friday night, notching a 3-0 decision over 2024 NCAA Tournament participant Frostburg State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
- Frostburg State got the first shot on target, corralled by Dähne in the fourth minute
- Ehmer flipped ahead to Morin who buried the eventual winner in the ninth minute
- Morin and Delair combined to find Ehmer at the top of the box; the junior turned and fired a score in the lower-left corner in the 20th minute
- A try from Delair was saved and another from Morin hit the post as Catawba looked to grow the lead
SECOND HALF
- Agnethe Vestergaard Heron tested the FSU keeper in the 48th minute, but the shot was stopped
- Lauren Darbo centered a ball in the 55th minute that deflected off of a Bobcat defender and into the net, growing the Catawba lead to 3-0
- Dähne tacked on three more saves over the game's final 30 minutes, earning a clean sheet in her first career start
