SALISBURY, N.C. — The Catawba College men's volleyball team captured a 3-0 victory over Barton in dominant fashion at Goodman Arena on Tuesday night.
TEAM STATS
- Catawba (8-11) ripped 32 kills on a .294 hitting percentage while limiting Barton (8-12) to an .074 mark with 23 attack errors
- The blue and white served out eight aces, one short of their season high, as the Bulldogs recorded just two; each side logged 11 errors in service
- The blocking game was largely controlled by the Catawba Indians who made 7.5 total blocks followed by the Bulldogs' four
- Catawba operated with a five-dig advantage over BC on defense, winning the category 23-18\
INDIVIDUAL STATS
- Justin Arrowood leapt into double figures with 10 kills while adding four digs
- John Clinton batted .400 and supplied seven kills, two blocks and a dig
- Logan Neitzel successfully dropped the hammer six times for a .625 clip, also tacking on an ace and two digs
- Anders Christianson was an all-around cornerstone for Catawba, racking up five kills, eight digs, three blocks and an ace
- Kristian Smith brought copious value with his 25 assists, three service aces, two blocks and two digs
- Wyatt Eastin led the blocking category with four, followed by Christianson and Jacob Brown who tallied three stops apiece
