ROCK HILL, S.C. — On the heels of its third-largest ranked win in program history, the Catawba College men's lacrosse program saw Tanner Stout and Owen Conway earn South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, on Monday afternoon.

Stout, a first-time SAC Player of the Week honoree, ripped in six goals with an assist for a career-high seven points on Saturday, leading the offensive charge in a 22-12 rout of No. 5 Anderson. The junior attackman's performance was not limited to the scoresheet as he also tallied season highs of five ground balls and two caused turnovers. With 70 career goals, Stout currently stands tied for 16th in program history while on track to have the eighth-best season and career in per-game goals, averaging 2.67 this season and 1.89 in his career.

En route to his second SAC Defensive Player of the Week selection of the season and the third of his career, Conway wreaked havoc on the Trojan offense with five caused turnovers and four ground ball pickups. The Bel Air, Md., native spearheaded an oppressive defense that limited Anderson to its lowest marks of the year in goals (12), total shots (41) and shots on goal (22) with a season-high in turnovers (22). Conway was also vital in transition, helping Catawba achieve a perfect 18-for-18 ledger on clears. Midway through SAC play, Conway stands sixth in the league with 18 caused turnovers with 27 ground balls, good for fourth among non-specialists in both total and per-game pickups.

As a team, the Catawba Indians have received four SAC Player of the Week honors this season. This is the first time in Head Coach Mike Murphy's tenure that Catawba has earned multiple POTW selections in one week.
