Rock Hill, S.C. —- Catawba College senior Colt Wilkins was named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
 
Catawba's Friday night starter pitched a complete game in the 6-2 win over Lincoln Memorial, allowing two runs on just five hits, while matching a season-high with nine strikeouts.
 
The Railsplitters were only able to reach past first base twice in the game, as Wilkins faced just seven batters more than the minimum en route to Catawba's 30th win of the season.
 
Catawba returns to play at Newman Park on Tuesday, hosting Mount Olive at 3 p.m. Wilkins will take the mound on Friday in the Catawba Indians' SAC series opener at Newberry.
