TIGERVILLE, S.C. — The Catawba College men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of North Greenville on Thursday night at Hayes Gymnasium, leveling the squads' season series to a 1-1 split.
TEAM STATS
- Catawba (9-12) registered its best hitting percentage in a loss this season, batting .240 with 35 kills; however, North Greenville (11-10) dominated on offense with a season-high .455 clip including 42 kills and just seven errors
- NGU possessed a 6-2 advantage in aces, but the Catawba Indians had four fewer errors (12-8) to equalize the service category
- Play at the net was all square at five blocks apiece with the match's lone assisted stop supplied by the blue and white
- The contest featured few digs as the Catawba Indians led 22-21, recording the visitors' second-lowest mark of the year and a Catawba opponent's fourth-fewest value
INDIVIDUAL STATS
- Justin Arrowood blasted 15 kills on a .357 hitting percentage, his best success rate since Feb. 20, while adding two digs, one ace and a block
- Wyatt Eastin thrived in the middle with eight kills on nine swings in addition to a team-high two blocks and a dig
- Kristian Smith dispensed 29 assists with three kills and an ace offensively, chipping in one block and a pair of digs
- Logan Neitzel paced the Catawba Indians in digs with six in addition to a block and two kills
- Freshman pin Conner Vigardt made his collegiate debut with a brief third-set cameo
