Brandon Crabtree was named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Baseball Player of the Week, as well as NCBWA Southeast Region Player of the Week, announced Tuesday.
Crabtree ended a standout regular season with a monster four games, which included a three-game sweep of Emory & Henry to end Catawba's SAC regular season title.
The Pittsboro, N.C. native hit .625 on the week with 10 hits, including four homers, with nine RBI. He also walked twice without striking out.
Crabtree closed the regular season as the SAC batting title champion, leading the league with a .449 batting average along with 12 home runs, 55 RBI and 62 runs scored.
Catawba opens up postseason play on Friday, hosting Coker in the opening round of the SAC Championships at Newman Park at 2 p.m.
