Rock Hill, S.C. — For the second time this season, Catawba College graduate student Sofia Antolini was named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
 
The Italy native earned five wins across doubles and singles play in 9th-ranked Catawba's three-win week, which included two top-20 ranked wins over Wingate and Lenoir-Rhyne to remain unbeaten in SAC play this season.
 
Antolini competed in the second-ranked doubles matches this week along with Rin Igarashi and the top-ranked singles position, where she bested each of her three opponents this week to lead Catawba Women's Tennis to victory.
 
On Saturday, Catawba suffered its first lost doubles or singles match of league play this season at Lenoir-Rhyne, but topped the Bears 4-1 to improve to 9-0 in the SAC as the top-ranked team in the Southeast region.
 
Catawba returns to the Johnson Tennis Center on Friday, hosting Anderson as part of its Senior Day with Senior Day festivities commencing at 11 a.m., while the women's match will follow the men's at roughly 3 p.m.
