Indianapolis, Ind. — Six Catawba College student-athletes qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Emporia, Kan. on May 21-23, the NCAA announced Tuesday.
 
Seth Caudill qualified for the Men's 1500-meter run with a 3:46.33 time he set at the Wake Forest Invitational on April 16. Caudill qualifies for NCAAs for the first time in his career.
 
Victor Smith will run in the Men's 100-meter dash. He enters the national championships with the second-fastest time in Division II - a 10.04-second mark at the Aggie Invitational in April. Smith was a First Team All-American in the 60-meter dash at the NCAA DII Indoor Nationals earlier this season.
 
Miles Stephens will look to make the sweep in the 200-meter dash, as he qualifies for the 200m dash in the Outdoor Championships after a 20.82-second mark at the SAC Outdoor Championships in late April. He won Catawba's first-ever NCAA national championship at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
 
Jayden Bennermon qualified for nationals in the triple jump with a mark of 15.40 meters he set at the Southside Power & Fitness Invite that got him a runner-up finish in April. Bennermon qualifies for the first time in his career.
 
Madi Clay will compete in both the 10,000-meter run and the 5,000-meter run. She set her 5K mark of 16:22.21 at the Duke Invitational and her 10 K mark of 34:28.62 at the Raleigh Relays. Clay qualifies for NCAA Outdoors for the fourth time in her illustrious career.
 
Eden Barnwell qualified for the 800-meter run in her final meet of the season at the Lee Last Chance Meet on May 9. Barnwell will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time.
 
The NCAA DII Outdoor Championships will be held at Emporia State University's Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan. May 21-23.
